Portfolio: Nathanael Ng
As an artist, I currently remain a "self-taught amateur". This is a situation which I hope to remedy, both by practice as well as through study. It is, I believe, insufficient to be skilled in just one field; the truly gifted engineer or programmer, for example, needs to incorporate something of Art into the way he works, just as a great artist will doubtless find inspiration for her art even in those matters hitherto considered the provenance of Science and Engineering. Given this, I wish to present a small portfolio of my visual work, more as a testament to my willingness to learn and my fascination with the visual arts than as a demonstration of any sort of skill. This is not to say that I have no love for music and other forms of art; rather, since I am (even) less skilled in those forms, a portfolio containing such things could prove quite unpleasant to its intended audience. It is my hope that the works presented herein will meet with the approval, or at least the understanding, of your kind self.
